Art in Public Places

Suzanne Randolph Fine Arts (SRFA) believes that art in public places can provide a humanizing influence and can demonstrate a Client’s commitment to the quality and enrichment of everyday life. Our firm is often retained as program manager for projects such as large-scale, mixed-use, urban projects for real estate developers, creating signature works for corporations and their headquarters and developing art policy and comprehensive master plans for municipal agencies.

In addition, our role as advisor has required that we explore innovative solutions through collaborations with architects, landscape architects, environmental graphic designers and arts programmers. The projects with which we have been involved have been both of a temporary and permanent nature, designed to serve the diverse interests of urban communities.

Our responsibilities include developing art concepts compatible with each Client’s objective, establishing art selection criteria, recommending artists selection panelists, researching and presenting appropriate artists and monitoring all phases of fabrication and installation of art work. We are committed to understanding the ways in which each public art projects interfaces with its community as a whole, be they local residents, visitors or daily workers, so that art can be enjoyed and respected for generations to come.
